My husband Ralph and I have known Michael Dent since 2006. Over the last 4 years, he has done several jobs for us, including renovation of the upper level of our house. The biggest project Michael has done was the most recent, being from August – December 2009. The whole of the lower level of our house was gutted and rebuilt, and a massive new deck was built on the front, transforming it beyond recognition.

At all times, Michael has ensured his work, as well as that of his own employees and tradesmen he utilises, is of the highest quality. At every stage of our renovations, Michael has kept us informed of progress,communicating with us frequently. Michael takes pride in his work and this shines through in the finished project. We unreservedly recommend Michael Dent for any building project. We have been nothing but happy with the work he has completed for us.

My wife and I contracted Interior Exterior Builders to renovate our house on a large scale. They offered us great advice that meant we saved money, but it didn’t compromise the build. During the renovation which took 3 months to construct, the builders and apprentices who worked on our job were courteous and were never invasive. They treated the property as if it were their own, and respected our privacy.

We are now extremely pleased with the outcome. It meets all expectations as shortcuts were never taken that would have compromised the safety or value of the house. When finished, the entire house was worth a large percentage more than the original premises, expanding our living space by almost fifty percent.

It is not often we take the time to write a letter for just any business but we are compelled after our experience using Interior Exterior Builders. We started talking about renovating our house and after hearing all the nightmare stories, were very cautious approaching builders. Michael was referred to us by a mutual acquaintance in the early planning stages.

During the planning phases Michael was excellent, providing ideas and challenging us on some aspects. We found him very approachable and open to understanding what we were trying to achieve with our house and renovation.

After proceeding to renovate our house, build a larger rear patio, an additional room and a front carport it was then over to Interior Exterior Builders. Right from the start I knew our build was going to be complicated. There were many issues when it came to our home as it required partial demolition, lifting, shifting and extension. We needed an experienced builder who we felt comfortable in giving the job to, not only based on previous work we had seen, but one who we felt could help us solve many of the issues that still faced us on our particular build.

My wife and I spoke to and got quotes from 5 builders but eventually decided on Interior Exterior Builders.

If you haven’t built before and you do decide to build, right from the start you are on a huge learning curve, you need someone like Michael and his team to guide you along the way.

In retrospect, Michael made our first build seem effortless. If there was an issue confronting us Michael had multiple solutions at hand for us to choose from, always with a solid easy to understand explanation behind them.

In our opinion after having built again since with another “project” builder, Michael and Fiona delivered a stunning result on time and budget.

We are very proud of the finished product and so should Interior Exterior Builders and we would not use anyone else again! Hands down the best!

When looking for a builder there were many options, but I chose Michael Dent from Interior Exterior Builders as he was responsive and easy to ‘talk shop’ to. He listened to our requirements and concerns first and foremost, and always offered great building advice when we needed it. This was a renovation to a Queenslander so we were particular about what was required, and Michael was in constant contact with us to make sure he progressed the way we wanted. (This was important since many things can change or happen on the run!).

The end result is exactly as we wanted, including a new kitchen, an extension to the master bedroom, new ensuite, walk-in robe, and refurbished bathroom. It also included a new deck with built in barbeque and laundry. This was an exhaustive fit-out and I was really grateful that Interior Exterior Builders worked tirelessly to get the renovations finished. The end result far surpassed our expectations.

With a young child and a busy life, we thought it could be difficult when building got underway but Michael and his crew were conscious of this and kept any inconvenience to a minimum. The team were also really easy to get along with. While I really wanted the renovation to end, the presence of a team of builders wasn’t as much of a hindrance as I thought.

I am now really pleased to have employed Interior Exterior Builders. There were never any complications that weren’t discussed and resolved up front, and the family and I enjoy our newly renovated house knowing the quality of craftsmanship will last for decades to come.
